Wangethi Mwangi is a veteran journalist who currently serves as Editorial Director the largest media company in Kenya –Nation Media Group. Wangethi Mwangi has held several positions at the Daily Nation, a holding of Nation Media Group, and was promoted to Editorial Director from a position as sub-editor of the Daily Nation. In addition to his journalistic experience, Mr. Mwangi has an abiding interest in media law and economics.

The Daily Nation is Kenya's leading newspaper and is a division of Nation Media Group (NMG) Limited.
NMG, founded by His Highness the Aga Khan in 1959, has become the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa. It has been quoted on the Nairobi Stock Exchange since the early 1970s.
In his current position, Wangethi Mwangi is Editorial Director of the leading multi-media house in the East African region for both print and electronic platforms.
